Express academy is recruiting for a Technical Director for our soccer academy. This role will be crucial role in managing the operations, development, football methodology planning and success of the academy, with a focus on providing a nurturing and competitive environment for players to thrive and reach their full potential.
Qualifications
- At least CAF B Holder.
- EXPERIENCED in running a league.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Sets academy technical roadmap.
- Sets, monitors, evaluate and ensure implementation of academy curriculum through all categories.
- Ensures the academy hires competent technical staff.
- Supervises the technical staff (coaches & assistant coaches).
- Administer and recommends disciplinary measures to the technical staff.
- Coordinates and oversees tournaments, leagues and friendly matches.
- Convenes and chairs technical council meetings.
- Prepares monthly technical report.
- Heads Express Soccer delegation in tournaments/camps – both locally & internationally.
- Sets academy strategic plan and deliverables.
- Oversee academy’s youth programme.
- Develop and implement coaching standards, roles and responsibilities, professional support and development pathways to coaching and playing groups.
- Implement a football development plan and playing model for all age groups.
- In conjunction with coaches, oversee the selection of respective teams or squads.
- Pre-season coaching workshops to engage coaching teams and outline strategic framework / academy requirements.
- Dispute resolution / mediation function – interface for parent feedback.
- Establish a communication strategy with our coaches to provide advice and support on coaching matters.
- Provide coaches with assessments covering training and game day activities.
- Regularly monitor current trends in football and other sports to provide updates to coaches.
- Coordinating with marketing staff to create commercials and promotions for upcoming events. Ensuring that information about upcoming events is provided to the public via social media channels.
- Coordinating with suppliers, technical staff and administration to ensure that the equipment is ready for use and meets the set standards.
- Coordinating with photographers and other visual media staff to ensure that the right images are captured for use in broadcasts
- Coordinating with writers and producers to create a script for the broadcast that meets all legal requirements, including disclaimer language and proper usage of trademarks.
- Ability and knowledge to serve as Manager on Duty, including but not limited to risk management.
- You will be the representative of the academy during meetings with the stakeholders.
- Any other duty as you may be assigned by the directors.
