Express academy is recruiting for a Technical Director for our soccer academy. This role will be crucial role in managing the operations, development, football methodology planning and success of the academy, with a focus on providing a nurturing and competitive environment for players to thrive and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

  • At least CAF B Holder.
  • EXPERIENCED in running a league.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Sets academy technical roadmap.
  2. Sets, monitors, evaluate and ensure implementation of academy curriculum through all categories.
  3. Ensures the academy hires competent technical staff.
  4. Supervises the technical staff (coaches & assistant coaches).
  5. Administer and recommends disciplinary measures to the technical staff.
  6. Coordinates and oversees tournaments, leagues and friendly matches.
  7. Convenes and chairs technical council meetings.
  8. Prepares monthly technical report.
  9. Heads Express Soccer delegation in tournaments/camps – both locally & internationally.
  10. Sets academy strategic plan and deliverables.
  11. Oversee academy’s youth programme.
  12. Develop and implement coaching standards, roles and responsibilities, professional support and development pathways to coaching and playing groups.
  13. Implement a football development plan and playing model for all age groups.
  14. In conjunction with coaches, oversee the selection of respective teams or squads.
  15. Pre-season coaching workshops to engage coaching teams and outline strategic framework / academy requirements.
  16. Dispute resolution / mediation function – interface for parent feedback.
  17. Establish a communication strategy with our coaches to provide advice and support on coaching matters.
  18. Provide coaches with assessments covering training and game day activities.
  19. Regularly monitor current trends in football and other sports to provide updates to coaches.
  20. Coordinating with marketing staff to create commercials and promotions for upcoming events. Ensuring that information about upcoming events is provided to the public via social media channels.
  21. Coordinating with suppliers, technical staff and administration to ensure that the equipment is ready for use and meets the set standards.
  22. Coordinating with photographers and other visual media staff to ensure that the right images are captured for use in broadcasts
  23. Coordinating with writers and producers to create a script for the broadcast that meets all legal requirements, including disclaimer language and proper usage of trademarks.
  24. Ability and knowledge to serve as Manager on Duty, including but not limited to risk management.
  25. You will be the representative of the academy during meetings with the stakeholders.
  26. Any other duty as you may be assigned by the directors.
